Alfa Laval Toftejorg - Sani SB 3-A Series

Static spray balls can't always deliver the needed cleaning efficiency required. When more efficiency is required, upgrade to Toftejorg rotary spray head technology. Installation is simple; unclip the static spray ball and replace it with a new clip-on rotary spray head. As the spray head rotates, its fans produce a variable falling film, which has higher heat and mass transfer coefficients than the falling film produced by the static spray ball. This enables the optimization of cleaning procedures and significant savings on water, chemicals, and energy.

To achieve the best cleaning results, Toftejorg rotary spray heads use a spray pattern to ensure the dynamic and effective distribution of rinse water to the inner tank surfaces. The impact from the rotating fans and improved mass and heat transfer provide efficient residue removal after production. Self-draining and self-cleaning, inside and out, all Toftejorg rotary spray head devices comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Application

The 3-A compliant Alfa Laval Toftejorg Sani SB Series rotary spray heads are designed with respect to self-cleaning, self-draining, and inspectability. The novel, patented, one-clip assembly offers easy installation, disassembly, and inspection, without compromising cleanability and trainability.

The Toftejorg Sani SB Series are an efficient replacement for the traditional static spray ball, as they offer liquid impact on the entire tank wall that lies within the spray pattern, a 270°U or a 360° pattern that is low pressure regardless of flow rate.

STANDARD DESIGN

The Toftejorg Sani SB 3-A Series devices can be supplied with 3.1 certificates for metallic parts and 3-A conformity* on its plastic part. The SaniMidget SB UltraPure is also available with Alfa Laval Q-doc. Sizing/selection and installation drawing are available.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The flow of cleaning media causes the spray head of the Toftejorg Sani SB 3-A Series devices to rotate on a liquid film (slide bearing), creating fans of fluid in a swirling pattern. The distribution pattern of the cleaner head generates a vibrating impact as well as cascading flow coverage of all internal surfaces of the tank, vessel, or reactor. The self-cleaning feature is due to the unique design that includes cleaning of the down pipe.
