Alfa Laval GJ 5

The compact size of Alfa Laval GJ 5 allows it to readily pass through a three inch opening, making it ideal for cleaning small tanks, vats, and vessels. The Alfa Laval GJ 5 tank cleaning machine offers unprecedented cleaning power and flexibility. It surpasses spray balls, water blasting, boil-outs, manual hose, and scraping and chipping. The Alfa Laval GJ 5 tank cleaning machine is a fluid-driven, rotary tank cleaning machine that is designed to fit through small passageways and clean smaller vessels, up to 15 inches in diameter by 15 inches high.

It revolves 360 in both the horizontal and vertical planes, with synchronized solid jets providing a tight and thorough scouring pattern on the inside tank surfaces in just one complete cycle. Its horizontal and vertical rotation patterns are interlocked and controlled by gears, not by any reaction forces. The variety of nozzle sizes, turbines, and gear speeds allows for a range of flow rates, pressures, and wash cycle times.

APPLICATION

The Alfa Laval GJ 5 offers compact cleaning for small sized tanks, vats, and vessels. This device is designed for cleaning tanks 15 feet in diameter by 15 feet high and can easily fit through three inch openings. By switching from costly manual cleaning and time-intensive spray balls to the Alfa Laval GJ 5, companies are able to save a substantial amount of time, water, and money. The device is part of the world-renowned Gamajet range of high impact tank cleaning devices.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The Gamajet range of high impact tank cleaning devices combine pressure and flow to create high impact cleaning jets. Cleaning occurs at the point at which the concentrated stream impacts the surface. This impact, and the tangential force that radiates from that point, blasts contaminants from the surface, scouring the tank interior. In conjunction with this impact, the device is engineered to rotate in a precise, repeatable, and reliable 360° pattern. This full-coverage, global indexing pattern ensures the entire tank interior is cleaned, every time.

STANDARD DESIGN

The choice of nozzle diameters can optimize jet impact length and flow rate at the desired pressure. As standard documentation, the Alfa Laval GJ 5 can be supplied with a “Declaration of Conformity” for material specifications.

OPTIONS

Electronic rotation sensor to verify 3-D coverage.

Caution: Do not use for gas evacuation or air dispersion.
